Meth 1 - Conceptualization

Our first method, conceptualization, is probably the most delicate in terms of lights and shades as discussed the first paragraph of section Methodology, for it includes a part of the creative process which blends reflection and imagination, the known and the guessed, the rational and the irrational, eluding observation. However, this creative process has to be conducted and formalized, more especially so in a research context. By conceptualization we mean to build an ontology pertinent to our research field. To identify entities, create a system of terms and concepts with which to navigate a space of possibilities; to think about, operate or imagine. Through this method we are building a common understanding of the objects of our research, serving as a basis for modelling at all levels and making it communicable across interdisciplinary boundaries.
